Love caring for animals? Need a date night or girl’s night activity? Consider donating your time assisting with one or more of the following day-to-day responsibilities at the sanctuary:

Refreshing food and water

Cleaning kennels, cages, litter boxes, and common areas

Socializing with the animals (petting, brushing, basic interaction, etc.)

Doing laundry using the shelter’s onsite washer and dryer (washing bedding, blankets, etc.)

General maintenance jobs

At Homeless to Home Cat Sanctuary, our mission is to provide compassionate care, safety, and love to cats in need. As a volunteer, you play a vital role in creating a positive environment for both animals and people. All volunteers are expected to uphold the following standards:

  • Treat all cats with kindness, care, and patience at all times.

  • Follow all feeding, care, and handling instructions provided by the sanctuary.

  • Never use harsh discipline, force, or unsafe practices.

  • Immediately report any signs of illness, injury, or distress.

  • Treat fellow volunteers, staff, and visitors with courtesy and professionalism.

  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment.

  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures provided.

  • Wash hands frequently and use proper protective equipment when required.

  • Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents immediately.

  • Arrive on time and fulfill scheduled commitments.

  • Notify the sanctuary as soon as possible if you are unable to volunteer as scheduled.

  • Complete assigned tasks responsibly and thoroughly.

  • Be open to feedback and continuous learning.

  • Represent Homeless to Home positively in person and on social media.

  • Obtain approval before posting photos or stories involving the sanctuary.
