Meet Kim, our Adoption “Matchmaker”

In March of 2023, Kim Nice left the corporate world and began her search for an opportunity to work in animal rescue. She reached out to a few local shelters, and Homeless to Home answered her call. She started out volunteering in animal care on the weekends, cleaning cages and refreshing food. Kim quickly realized the shelter's significant needs and knew she had the skills to help. Working with the owner, Jeanine, the Adoption Coordinator role was born. In January of 2024, Kim moved into that role and has been matchmaking cats with families ever since.

In the video below, Kim describes the adoption process. If you are interested in visiting the shelter, simply complete the Adoption Interest form below to provide your information, and Kim or another team member will reach out within 24-48 hours to arrange a visit.

During your visit, you will have time to ask questions and interact with the cats. Weather permitting, you can even sit out on our “catio” (a cat patio) and interact with the cats. It’s a great way to get to know them.

The adoption fee is $125, which covers the cost of spaying or neutering the cat, providing all required vaccinations, placing a microchip, and documenting all of the above.

Because we are in constant flux with cats coming and going from our shelter, we are unable to maintain a current catalog of cats. We recommend that you come to the shelter to visit the cats.
